Welcome
Thank you for visiting our website
Koegen Edwards LLP focuses primarily on assisting its clients in financings for governmental entities. Our attorneys serve as bond counsel for many types of governmental entities, including states, cities, counties, economic development corporations, public utility districts, joint action entities, school districts, port districts, water districts, tribal governments, sewer districts and hospital districts. In addition to serving as bond counsel, our attorneys advise governmental entities on issues of state and municipal law and advise underwriters and other transaction participants in governmental financings. Similarly, our attorneys advise nonprofit and private health care entities on issues of federal and state law compliance and business issues.
Our attorneys are experienced in a wide variety of public finance structures and products, including general obligation bonds, revenue bonds, special assessment bonds, lease-based financings, tax notes and other cash flow financings, tax increment financings, interest rate swaps, variable and fixed rate debt, nonprofit, manufacturing facility, solid waste and other "private activity" or conduit tax-exempt financings.
We solve public sector finance problems for our clients by actively participating in the preparation of legislation relating to private activity bonds, tax increment financings, derivative products and programs to fund school district cash flow deficits.
Our attorneys actively participate in public financing programs throughout the western United States which allows us to routinely consult with underwriters, financial advisors and banks in connection with these financings.
Koegen Edwards LLP is listed in the Bond Buyer's "Red Book" of nationally-recognized bond counsel firms and our attorneys have rendered approving opinions on billions of dollars of state and municipal bonds.
